The Chain Account Manager is responsible for growing the Worthy Brewing portfolio at assigned on and off-premise chain accounts.  This person will report to the Sales Director and is responsible for day-to-day ordering and maintenance at assigned accounts.  This person will also assist in prospecting new accounts and finding opportunities for growth as well as build relationships at assigned accounts with key decision makers. The Chain Account Manager will be responsible for account specific programming, in coordination with the Worthy Sales and Marketing Departments. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Retail Chain Selling & Planning 

  • Develop and manage individual Annual Business Plans for each call point, including the account’s SWOT, distribution gaps, store level opportunities, and promotional presentations. 

  • Perform the processes necessary to gain authorization, proper pricing, and shelf space within national and regional off premise chains as assigned by management. 

  •  Responsible for communicating and coordinating with Sales and Sales Management to ensure proper wholesaler execution. 

  • Find and pursue opportunities for expanded distribution, placements, displays, etc

  • Plan trimester marketing programs and monthly brand priorities for Worthy Sales and Wholesalers in assigned chains. 

  • Establish and maintain an effective call point schedule for all assigned accounts. 

  • Develop department administrative capabilities to measure pre and post promotional analysis, schematic distribution, competitive and DGY ad activity database, interpret and utilize syndicated data reports, and maintain a pricing database for assigned chains. 

  • Assist the Sales Director with new item submissions, OOS reports, pricing opportunities, etc.

Other Responsibilities 

  • To provide a copy of all presentations to the brewery as directed, prior to making assigned chain buyer calls. All presentations will be filed for future reference on the company server. 

  • To provide a copy of all Call Reports to the brewery as directed, after making the assigned buyer call. All Call Reports will be filed for future reference on the company server. 

  •  Maintain and keep all information confidential. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proficient in both Microsoft and Google software programs 

  • Detailed oriented, with the ability to work independently or as a team. 

  • Requires strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Requires knowledge of the three tiers of the beverage industry. 

  • Requires the ability to analyze statistical data and formulate objectives. 

  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as requested, directed or assigned by management. 

  • Willingness to travel with frequency to make assigned calls and retail visits.

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Access to a vehicle that you are willing to use for business purposes 

  • Flexibility to works days/nights/weekends

  • Independently motivated/ go-getter

  • Goal oriented, ability to set targets and meet them

  • Lifting when needed, 10-20+ lbs

Education and/or Experience: 

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

3+ years experience in craft beer sales and chain experience mandatory
