WATERTOWN, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–athenahealth, Inc., a leading provider of network-enabled software and services for medical groups and health systems nationwide, today announced that Stacy Simpson has joined the company as chief marketing officer (CMO). In this role, Simpson will oversee athenahealth’s segment marketing, brand and communications, and research and editorial strategy functions.
Over her more than 25-year career, Simpson has held numerous marketing and communications leadership roles. She joins athenahealth from Genpact, a global professional services firm, where she served as chief marketing officer and global head of corporate responsibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Prior to Genpact, Simpson led marketing and communications at Publicis Sapient, a global technology, consulting, and marketing services company; and served as chief communications and marketing officer for IAC, a global media and internet company, among other roles.
